India was dismayed with their batting in their first two matches of the T20 World Cup. Rahul Dravid will start his stint as head coach while Rohit Sharma will be captaining the side as Virat Kohli's tenure as T20 captain came to an end after the T20 World Cup. Kohli has been rested for the T20Is.

There would be a lot of fresh faces in the squad - players who have made their spot through exceptional performance in IPL - Venkatesh Iyer, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan & Ruturaj Gaikwad. Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel & Mohammad Siraj would like to strengthen their case for a comeback.
