After losing the first match, the Indian team bounced back in style in the 2nd T20I as they won the match in the Super Over. While Smriti Mandhan stood on the crease strongly for most of the time, smacking 79 runs off 49 balls, Richa Ghosh smacked 3 sixes in the death over as India tied the match while chasing a mammoth target of 187 runs. Debutant Devika Vaidya also helped with a last-ball boundary which tied the match.

Mandhana was exceptional in the Super Over as well, scoring 20 runs in the over along with Richa Ghosh's six and Harmanpreet Kaur's support. The bowling and fielding however were still disappointing. Deepti Sharma was the only wicket-taker, as India have failed to take more than 1 wicket against Australia in both matches. 

For Australia, Alyssa Healy has struggled to get going with her scores of 37 and 25 and is the only Australian batter to be dismissed in this series. In both matches, Australia opener Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath have etched unbroken partnerships in both matches (100* & 158*). Beth Mooney has top scored with 89* and 82* runs while Tahlia has maintained an impressive run against India with 40* and 70*. Other batters are yet to bat in this 5-match series till now. 

The Australian bowling can be a little better as the Indian women have managed to score big totals in both matches. While Elyse Perry picked up 2 wickets and Kim Garth, Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland scalped 1 wicket each, Heather Graham picked up 3 wickets in the 2nd T20I. Spinner Alana King and Sutherland also picked up 1 wicket each in the 2nd T20I.
