IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: Match Preview:

After registering a win in the 1st ODI, the Indian batting was routed while batting first in the 2nd ODI and were bowled out for just 117 runs in 26 overs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer with 31 runs while Axar Patel maintained his good touch with 29*, as none of the other batters were able to cross the 20-run mark. The Indian top order collapsed in the first match as well where KL Rahul (45*) and Ravindra Jadeja (45*) emerged as saviours. The batters would need to step if they want to maintain their dominance in the home bilateral series. 

The bowlers were thrashed all around while defending 118 runs in the 2nd ODI, as the Australian openers smashed 121 runs in just 11 overs, winning by 10 wickets. However, the bowlers were impressive in the first ODI where the pace duo of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj managed 3 wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja picked up 2 wickets while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav grabbed 1 wicket each. 

The Australian batters were bowled out for 188 runs in the 1st ODI while batting first but made an easy job out of the 118-run target while chasing in the 2nd ODI. Mitchell Marsh smacked 66* runs off 36 balls while Travis Head registered 51* runs from 30 deliveries. The batting would be dependent on these two along with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne to win an important ODI series in India ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. 

Mitchell Starc has been in fiery form in the series till now, picking up 8 wickets alongwith a 5-for in the previous game. While Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively in the 2nd ODI, Marcus Stoinis grabbed 2 wickets in the 1st ODI.
