Asia Cup 2022, set to commence on August 27th in Sri Lanka, will finally feature an India-Pakistan clash on the cricket ground, much to the joy of the fans. This clash is expected to be even bigger, since the last time these two teams met in October 2021, team India faced a brutal thrashing in the T20 World Cup 2021. Now, both the teams are set to meet each other once again in August 2022. 

The Asia Cup 2022 will be played in a T20 format between the Asian cricketing teams. India will face off against Pakistan on August 28th, Sunday according to media reports. The match being scheduled for Sunday is understandable since it's a weekly holiday and more viewers will tune in to watch the high-energy contest. 

Undoubtedly, India vs Pakistan is expected to be the biggest match of the Asia Cup 2022. Both teams would put their best foot forward with the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in mind. While Sri Lanka, going through an economic crisis, would hope for a packed stadium and high revenues to help them out in this cramped situation. With a clash as highly rated as India-Pakistan, stadiums are sure to be jam-packed for this clash. 

When India met Pakistan earlier in the group stage of the T20 World Cup 2021, India managed to post 151/7 in 20 overs after openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were removed early on by Shaheen Afridi. Virat Kohli was the saviour with 49-ball-57 while Pant contributed with 39 runs off 30 balls. In reply, Pakistan chased down the total with 13 balls remaining, winning the match by  10 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 79 runs while captain Babar Azam was not out for 68 runs.
