A talismanic knock of 186 runs from the flamboyant Virat Kohli gave India a chance to fly up against Australia's first-inning total of 480 on day 4 of the game. Axar Patel once again proved his importance with the bat and scored a smashing 79 runs which included 5 fours and 4 sixes.

The previous day, Shubman Gill hammered 128 runs with 12 fours and 1 six which was his second test hundred giving India solid momentum to fight back.

The story so far has been around the likes of batters in this sole batting wicket, but there will still be speculations on how will the wicket play on the final day of the Ahmedabad test. 

So far the Indian pitches have blessed the spinners, therefore Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel will be eager to show dominance on the final day of the game.

The Indian team finished their batting with 571 runs on the board in the second inning which gave the home side an advantage of 82 runs over Australia who got 3/0 at the end of yesterday's game.

Currently, Tarvis Head is batting on 3 and yesterday's night watchman Matthew Kuhnemann is accompanying him. With plenty of batting left in the Aussie line-up, the Indian team has to push themselves hard to nail the game which is currently going toward a draw. 

India is currently leading the series by 2-1 by winning the first two games at Nagpur and Delhi while Australia took the third match and tried to push the Indian side back on the first two days of the 4th and the final test at Ahmedabad.
