Toss has been a massive factor in the T20 World Cup, especially in Dubai, where 11 out of 12 matches have been won by the team chasing the target.

Australia and New Zealand will be playing the World Cup final in Dubai, at night, when there will be a dew factor in the second innings.

Australia captain Aaron Finch on being asked by Cricketnmore about the same said he wouldn't have minded batting first in Dubai despite the trend.

"I think at some point of the tournament you have to win batting first. Obviously, the trend of the tournament and the trend of the IPL is chasing is the way to go.

"In the last game, I was hoping to lose the toss actually. I wouldn't have minded batting first but the fact that we won the toss we were always going to bowl," Finch said.

The Aussie skipper further added that the only approach to batting first is to put enough runs on the board so that the team chasing is under the pressure.

"It's just one of those things, I think if you put decent enough score on the board you can put pressure on the opposition even chasing," Finch concluded.
