Hyderabad, Nov 9 (IANS) Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav said he has improved his line and length in the recent matches.
Yadav, who took four wickets for 53 and played a key role in India's third consecutive win against Sri Lanka here, told reporters that he is trying not to bowl short and also forcing the batsmen to play. He said he even reduced his run-up by a few yards in Sunday's match to focus on the line and length.
The opening bowler, who claimed two wickets in his two first overs including the prized wicket of Kumar Sangakara, said the ball was swinging in the initial overs. "The conditions and weather was good since morning. The bowlers got good help under cloudy weather in the beginning. Later the wicket turned slow," he said at the post-match press conference.
