Gujarat Titans won the prestigious IPL title in their debut season last year and would look to strongly defend their title this season. Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha would be joined by ace Kiwi batter Kane Williamson in the top order. Captain Hardik Pandya will take up the number 4 spot. Matthew Wade can also come in in the absence of David Miller in the 1st game.

Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni and Deepak Chahar would play the finishers. 

CSK has an all-rounder-heavy side, where most of the batters will also be contributing with the bat. While Ben Stokes, Shivam Dube, Deepak Chahar and Simarjeet Singh will head the pace department, and Maheesh Theekshana, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali will form the spin department. Sisanda Magala, Rajvardhan Hagargekar, Dwaine Pretorius and Mitchell Santner are also present in the squad.
