GUJ-w vs RCB-w: Match Preview:

Gujarat Giants have been struggling in the WPL 2023 so far, with their captain Beth Mooney and experienced Deandra Dottin ruled out. While the whole batting order collapsed in their first match, Harleen Deol stepped up with the bat in their second match as she scored 46 runs off 32 balls. Dayalan Hemalatha has been impressive batting lower down the order and remaining not out in both innings. 

While the bowlers struggled to stop leaking runs in their 1st match and pick up wickets, Dottin's replacement, Kim Garth, made a stellar debut as she grabbed 5 wickets in their last match. Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, Sneh Rana and Mansi Joshi would also need to step with the ball soon to register wickets against their name. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore are also off to a disastrous start in the WPL 2023. They were thrashed by 9 wickets against MI in their last match. However, despite none of the RCB batters scoring big, they've shown an aggressive approach where the run rate doesn't climb down below 8 regardless of how many wickets they have lost. From Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine at the top of the order, to Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil and Megan Schutt down the order, all are capable of contributing a big win that doesn't look very far away. 

However, the bowlers have been clearly struggling to get going. Ace Australian pacer Megan Schutt has remained wicket-less in WPL 2023 till now, and India's star pacer Renuka Singh Thakur has also remained wicketless. RCB have only managed three wickets till now - Heather Knight's two wickets in the first match and Preeti Bose's 1 wicket in the 2nd match.
