Former Windies cricketer Franklyn Rose deported from New Zealand ()
Wellington, April 13। Former West Indies cricketer Franklyn Rose has been deported from New Zealand, the country’s immigration department has confirmed.
Rose, who played 19 Tests for the West Indies, was deported after having lived in New Zealand without a visa for four years, reports CMC.
His legal representative Ramya Sathyanathan said on Tuesday a last minute request to suspend the deportation on humanitarian grounds failed. The right-arm bowler has been in a New Zealand prison for the past five weeks after being detained.
