ECB Chief Executive Richard Gould: Former Australia batter Leah Poulton has been appointed Managing Director of England Women, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Wednesday, with the former international set to begin her role in November.
Poulton, who represented Australia 90 times before retiring from international cricket in 2015, will oversee England Women, England Women A and England Women U19s, as well as the country’s women’s high-performance system.
The appointment comes at an important juncture for England, which reached the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The team will also face Australia in the Women’s Ashes on home soil next year.
