Cardiff, June 6 (Cricketnmore) The ICC Champions Trophy Group A match between England and New Zealand on Tuesday was halted for a minute at 11 a.m. (GMT) to observe a minute's silence in memory of the victims of the London terror attack which left seven people dead and dozens injured over the weekend.
Although it is not a new trend for players to pay their respects in the aftermath of a tragic event, this is perhaps the first time that a match was halted in between so that players can observe a minute's silence.
This was because the whole of the United Kingdom on Tuesday observed a minute's silence at 11 a.m. to pay their respects to the victims of the London attack.
