Mumbai, May 7। South Africa and Delhi Daredevils opener Quinton de Kock has heaped praise on his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise mentor Rahul Dravid, saying that the confidence and advice given by the former India batting legend has helped the side's youngsters go out and express themselves on the cricket pitch.
After a sloppy eight editions in the cash-rich T20 tournament, former India skipper Dravid was included in the side as a mentor to improve fortunes and the 43-year-old, alongside head coach Paddy Upton, has turned things around, helping the side climb from bottom of the points table to promising heights.
"It has been nice to have Rahul around in the team, especially with a young team here. He has guided us a lot and helped us along the way. It is so nice to have a mentor like that. It gives us the confidence to go out and play freely," de Kock told IANS in an interview.
