Dottin & Harmanpreet Guide Supernovas To 165/7 Against Velocity In Women's T20 Challenge 2022 Final

Velocity needs 166 runs in 20 overs to win against Supernovas in the Women's T20 Challenge 2022 Title.

Supernovas vs Velocity - After Deandra Dottin and Harmanpreet Kaur played explosive knocks, Velocity bowlers pulled back in the last 6 overs, limiting Supernovas to 165/7 in 20 overs in the Final of Women's T20 Challenge 2022. 

Openers Priya Punia and Deandra Dottin added 73 runs for the first wicket in 9.2 overs. Priya was dismissed in the 10th over by Simran Bahadur after scoring 28 runs in 29 deliveries with 2 sixes. 

Supernovas captain Harmanpreet Kaur came on to bat at # and played an explosive knock of 43 runs in 29 deliveries, etching a partnership of 58 runs in 36 deliveries for the second wicket Deandra Dottin. Dottin was dismissed by Velocity captain Deepti Sharma in the 15th over which triggered a batting collapse. 

Supernovas went on to lose 5 wickets in a space of just 34 runs in the last 5 overs. For Velocity, Kate Cross, Deepti Sharma & Simran Bahadur picked up 2 wickets each while Ayabonga Khaka managed 1 wicket. Skipper Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, conceding only 20 runs in 4 overs while managing the important wicket of Deandra Dottin.

Earlier, Velocity captain Deepti Sharma won the toss & opted to field first against Supernovas in the final of the Women's T20 Challenge 2022. This match is being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
