Dinesh Karthik's comeback story has been a sensational one which has attracted all cricket fans and anyone who knows. The 37-year-old bagged the 'Player of the Match' award in the 1st T20I against West Indies, where the batter added invaluable runs in the death overs to take India to a defendable and ultimately a winning total.
India were cruising to a huge total after they were at 88/3 in 10 overs. However, West Indies grabbed a few quick wickets - Rishabh Pant (14) in the 10th over, Hardik Pandya (1) in the 12th over and Rohit Sharma (64) in the 15th over.
However, Dinesh Karthik, batting at #7, came out to bat in the 15th over and blasted India to a good total. DK arrived at the crease after the dismissal of Rohit Sharma on the 5th delivery of the 15th over. On the second delivery of the next over, Dinesh Karthik got forward and drove the fullish outside off delivery with a high elbow for a boundary wide of cover.
