DC vs RCB IPL 2022: Dinesh Karthik has reformed and shown a side that every T20 lover would pay anything to watch the batter in action. Playing the part of proper finisher this season for RCB, DK continued playing his role as he smacked Delhi Capitals' Mustafizur Rahman for 28 runs in an over. 

After being put in to bat first, RCB were 5 wickets down in the 12th over, already losing big names in the form of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli & Glenn Maxwell. Dinesh Karthik however, showed a mature side as he played off the remained of middle over cautiously. 

In the 18th over, being bowled by Mustafizur Rahman, DK targetted the over and decided this was the over he'd push for a bigger team total. On the first ball, Karthik shuffled across the crease as Fizz bowled full outside off delivery. Trying to play the lap shot, the ball took the bat's outside edge and was well-wide of short third man, going to the fence for a four. 

Mustafizur bowled the second delivery with a slower cutter on a good length, which was magnificently reverse swept by Dinesh Karthik over the third man for an extraordinary boundary. The third delivery was yet again a slower ball on outside off and DK, having anticipated this line, moved across and smashed it wide of extra cover, going for another four. 

Mustafizur pitched the next delivery seam-up right in the batter's slot, and Karthik smashed it straight back into the sightscreen for a six, instantly firing up the stadium with chants of 'DK'. 

Fizz went on to err as he bowled the fifth delivery again in Karthik's slot, outside off, and DK didn't miss out as he lofted it magnificently over long-off, for a second six off the over. The Bangladeshi pacer missed his yorker on the last delivery, bowling a low full toss. Karthik made room and dispatched it in the air wide of mid-off for a four, completing his fifty off 26 balls. 

DK finished unbeaten on 66* runs in 34 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes. Earlier, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant won the toss & opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 27th match of IPL 2022. Apart from DK, Glenn Maxwell smacked 55 runs in 34 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes as RCB posted 189/5 in 20 overs.
