Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs to clinch their 4th IPL title. CSK opener Faf du Plessis played an excellent knock of 86 runs, and in the second innings, Shardul Thakur picked up 3 wickets for 38 runs. Thus, these two played an important part in CSK winning the title.
