David Miller's unbeaten 94 powered Gujarat Titans to a three-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings in the 29th match of the IPL 2022 played at Pune's MCA Stadium.

Chasing a tricky total of 170, Gujarat had a poor start as they lost four wickets inside eight overs with the score reading 48. Things further looked dim for Gujarat as Rahul Tewatia too got out in the 13th over after adding 39 runs for the fifth wicket with Miller.

With all the recognized batters out, Miller had no option but to go for the kill and he had a perfect partner in Rashid Khan in doing so. The duo smacked 70 runs in the next 37 balls to take the Titans close to the target. Rashid smashed 40 runs in 21 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.

With 13 needing in the last over, Miller scored the remaining runs with a ball to spare and remained unbeaten on 94. With this win, Gujarat further firmed their position at the top of the points table with 10 points in six games.

Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad finally joined the party and scored 73 to take CSK to a competitive total of 169/5 in the first inning.

Chennai's start was a bit slow as they lost both Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali inside the powerplay and only scored 39.

Gaikwad along with Ambati Rayudu added 92 runs in 56 balls for the third wicket to set up a solid platform for the rest of the batters to finish the inning. Rayudu made 46 in 31 balls while Gaikwad scored 73 in 48. Ravindra Jadeja's 22 off 12 provided a good finish for the Super Kings.
