Ruturaj Gaikwad, the orange cap winner in IPL 2021, hasn't fired with the bat yet and has failed to provide good starts. Robin Uthappa was promoted as an opener in the second match CSK played and has displayed a desirable performance. Rayudu and captain Jadeja haven't shown form yet while Shivam Dube has remained the only batter with a considerable amount of runs this season.

The addition of Chris Jordan was an exciting prospect for CSK in their last match and will assist DJ Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali & Dwaine Pretorius to take on a rather inexperience Sunrisers Hyderabad side.
Sunrisers Hyderabad batting faced a collapse in their first match while their X-factor batter, Rahul Tripathi, scored 44 runs against Lucknow Super Giants, while Nicholas Pooran managed 34 runs in 23 balls and SRH would be hoping for Kane Williamson & Aiden Markram to join in the scoring, along with retained Abdul Samad who will play the role of finisher.
