Cricket has regained its full flow after being slowed down due to the pandemic in 2020 and some parts of 2021. With cricket learning to deal with the pandemic, the cricket tours are now on in full flow. More tours mean more bio-bubble.

Even though players are now used to staying in bubbles but it still gets exhausting to remain isolated and move with restricted freedom. Touring a country with bio bubbles means the schedule has extra days during which players will remain away from family. It's an exhausting process and situation.

Talking completely about the Indian team's schedule for 2022, in simple terms - there is a lot of cricket to be played in the coming months, both at home and away, including the T20 World Cup, which the teams have an eye on.

India already had a jam-packed schedule with three T20I and two tests against Sri Lanks in February-March followed by two months of Indian Premier League. After IPL, South Africa are scheduled to tour India for five T20Is post which India plans to fly out to England for a limited-overs tour and play a one-off test.

If it isn't already a packed schedule, September-October-November brings in the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

However, now the reports are coming in where three more series are being added to India's schedule. Before India goes to England, they will play a one-off T20I against Ireland.

Post England tour, India will travel to West Indies for three ODIs & as many T20Is post which the squad will go to Zimbabwe to play another two format series.

It's a packed schedule and no room for breather to neither the players nor the support staff.

Ever since cricket resumed, the cases of injuries and players taking mental health breaks have increased. Currently, India already has five injured players from the regular squad members.

With all teams eyeing T20 World Cup, India needs a highly sophisticated system to handle the players and to keep them fresh & injury-free. And of course the constant pressure of avoiding getting infected by the virus during a series, which only makes things worse.
