New Delhi, Sep 18 (CREICKETNMORE): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an open tender process for global broadcasting rights for the glamorous Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Sunday. Ambrose questions timing of Phil Simmons' sacking as West Indies coach.
"We are happy to announce the tender process for IPL Global Media Rights (TV and Digital)," BCCI President Anurag Thakur declared at a press conference.
The IPL's broadcasting rights are presently held by Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI). The deal ends after the cash-rich Twenty20 league's next edition on 2017.
