India eased past Sri Lanka by 7 wickets to confirm their place in the semifinals of the 3rd T20 World Cup for the Blind, which was played at the Panjim Gymkhana Sports Club in Goa on Wednesday.
India qualified for the semifinals after finishing on top of the table following the completion of the round robin matches. Hosts will face South Africa in the first semifinals while the second semifinals will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat. The Indian bowlers were disciplined from the start and gave the Lankan openers a tough time in the middle. Both openers were dismissed by Sunil Ramesh in the 5th over of the innings.
