Chennai Super Kings will be facing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the battle of the heavyweights - the Southern Derby - in the 22nd match of the IPL 2022 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. While CSK is still searching for its first win of the season, RCB will be looking to continue with winning momentum.

Let's take a look at the best impact players to watch out for in the CSK vs RCB IPL match today:

Trending

1) Glenn Maxwell - RCB's batting lineup has got a massive boost in the form of Maxwell. The middle-order all-rounder is known for his exploits against every type of spin.

Maxwell vs spin - Balls Faced 904, SR 141, Avg 36.51. Maxwell vs spin in middle overs - Balls Faced 764, SR 134.42, Avg 32.09

Maxwell has the ability to play with high intent in the middle overs, something RCB is looking to improve this season. With CSK using spinners more in the middle overs, the Australian could take on them to keep up with the scoring rate.

Maxwell vs SLA - BF 290, SR 134.13, Avg 38.9. Maxwell vs off-spin - BF 127, SR 129.92, Avg 41.25

2) Virat Kohli - The IPL legend is seen to have upped his intent in the middle overs this season. Given the cushion of Maxwell and the proven batting depth of RCB this season, Kohli could have a great outing against CSK.

Kohli has so far faced 78 balls in four innings and has scored 106 runs at a strike rate of 135.89.

Kohli vs Right Arm Pace - BF 39, SR 158.97, Kohli vs SLA - BF 12, SR 175 in IPL 2022.

3) Moeen Ali - The Englishman is a high intent batter. His strength is to thrash spin bowlers. If Moeen plays in the middle overs, his strike rate could go close to 160.

Ali vs wrist spin - SR 166, Avg 32, vs SLA - SR 155, Avg 26, vs Off-spin - SR 152, Avg 27.

Moeen Ali vs Wanindu Hasaranga will be an interesting battle. Any ball from Hasaranga that has a bit of loop, Ali will smash it; he has an SR of 173 facing deliveries at a speed less than 90 kmph. Hasaranga will try to bowl quick to Ali - facing deliveries with speeds more than 90, Ali's SR goes down to 127 and only averages 14.
