In the 7th match of the IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Both CSK and LSG lost their respective first match of the season.

Let's take a look at the best impact players to watch out for in the CSK vs LSG IPL match today:

Trending

1) Moeen Ali - The star English spin bowling all-rounder will be back in the CSK playing XI today. Ali usually bats at number three and is a terrific spin hitter (SR 149.75, Avg 21). Ali has a strike rate of over 155 in the middle overs.  Against pace as well, Ali can smack hard lengths and is a solid inning controller.

Ali coming back in the playing XI means CSK will have an SLA and an off-break spinner. Moeen has an economy of 6.74 in IPL. He doesn't concede boundaries much - only 10.68% and has a dot% of near 36.

2) Robin Uthappa - He is one of the best strikers of the cricket ball. Uthappa can smack both pace and spin. He usually plays these very impactful cameos batting up the order and on his day, can take down any bowling type.

Lucknow has three types of spinners - Leg Break, SLA, and an Off-Break - and Uthappa has a strike of 141, 141, and 130 respectively against each of these bowling types.

3) Evin Lewis - The West Indian hard-hitter usually enjoys batting against both pace and spin. Lewis attacks 60% of the deliveries he faces, has a 10-ball strike rate of 136, and can play all through the inning.

Lewis' only concern is against off-spin against which he isn't able to power through but still averages over 35 - meaning will be able to rotate the strike.

4) Ravi Bishnoi - The young Indian leggie will prove to be crucial vs CSK. Ravi Bishnoi vs Moeen Ali battle will be the one to watch out for. While Ali has a strike rate of 166 and an average of 32 vs leg-spin, Bishnoi feeds on left-handed batters - 6.49 economy and an average of 16.

Other than Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad, no other CSK batter can smack leg-spinner easily. Bishnoi could eat the entire CSK batting order on his day.
