Mumbai, October 17 - Following the appointment of Shashank Manohar as its new president, the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) working committee has called a meeting here on Sunday to discuss several issues regarding the game in the country.
It has been learnt that the fate of the two suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will be the primary point of discussion, alongside PepsiCo's move to withdraw as the lead sponsor of the IPL and fixing the date of the next annual general meeting of the BCCI.
Sunday's meeting is seen as vital for the two IPL franchises, who were earlier suspended by the Supreme Court following Justice R.M. Lodha committee's report on the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal.
