BCCI postpones verdict on Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah ()
Mumbai, December 24 - The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the time given to tainted cricketers Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah to reply to charges of corruption and spot-fixing against them.
The BCCI's disciplinary committee, which consists of president Shashank Manohar, Niranjan Shah and Jyotiraditya Scindia, met at the Cricket Centre here on Thursday as Chandila and Shah appeared in person to put forward their response to the charges.
The disciplinary committee, which is headed by Manohar, have given the duo time till January 4 to file a written response to the charges against them. The committee also decided to issue a notice to former Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf to respond to the charges against him.
