"South Africa and New Zealand are scheduled to come to India to play a couple of T20I series before the World Cup. The modalities are to be finalized. The board is aware that the team needs to be in touch with the format before the cup starts," a senior BCCI official said.

The Indian team already has a packed schedule ahead of the World Cup with the players traveling to England for the World Test Championship right after the IPL 2021 ends. India is scheduled to play a five-match test series against England which will only end by mid-September.

India will host a test series against New Zealand right after the World Cup and then, is scheduled to board a flight to South Africa for a long tour.
