Melbourne Stars defeat Hobart Hurricanes by ten runs in the 27th match of the Big Bash League(BBL) on Monday.
Ben McDermott's 91 runs innings went in vain as Hurricanes failed to finish the 184 runs chase. McDermott got out in the penultimate over bowled by Liam Thatcher, leaving Peter Handscomb and new batsman Nathan Ellis to score 21 runs off the last six balls. Handscomb smashed a six to keep Hobart in the game but eventually got run out.
Dawid Malan, after McDermott, was the next best batsman, as he scored 26 runs.
