Dec.22 (CRICKETNMORE) - Bangladesh and the Windies have been fined for slow over-rates in their second T20I in Dhaka, which the home side won by 36 runs on Thursday.
Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the fines after the Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh side was found to be one over short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration, while the Carlos Brathwaite-led Windies side was two overs short.
In accordance with Article 2.22.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Players Support Personnel, which relates to minor over-rate offences, players are fined 10 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.
