Bangladesh and Afghanistan will face off in the second ODI of their three-match series on Saturday, July 8th at 1:30 PM IST. The match will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Match Preview

Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect after Bangladesh's poor batting performance in the first ODI against Afghanistan. The hosts were restricted to 169-9 in their 50 overs, and Afghanistan won the match by 17 runs (DLS method).

Litton Das has been appointed as the stand-in captain for the rest of the series. Bangladesh are expected to make forced changes to their batting line-up, with Mohammad Naim likely to replace Tamim Iqbal.

Afghanistan, on the other hand, are expected to go with the same playing XI that won the first ODI. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman were the pick of the bowlers for Afghanistan in the first match, and they will be looking to replicate their performances in the second ODI.
