A rampant Australia tore through the Bangladesh batting Saturday to dismiss them for just 64 on day one of the second Test with Mitchell Starc taking 6-12 after a bowling masterclass.
Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss in Mackay and his bowlers feasted on a fine day, determined to bounce back from a shock nine-wicket loss in the first Test at Darwin.
An irrepressible Starc was the destroyer in an incredible spell of swing and seam, taking five wickets in just 22 balls during the morning session to leave the visitors on the ropes.
