Australia lost three quick wickets as Bangladesh fought back on day one of the second Test with the hosts 50-3 at tea after a Mitchell Starc masterclass skittled the visitors for just 64.
Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss in Mackay and his bowlers feasted on a fine day, determined to bounce back from a shock nine-wicket loss in the first Test at Darwin.
An irrepressible Starc was the destroyer in an incredible spell of swing and seam, taking five wickets in 22 balls during the morning session.
