Aus vs Ind, First Test: Bowlers Day Out At Adelaide, India Ends The Day With A Lead Of 62

It was a bowlers' day out at Adelaide Oval on the second day of the pink ball test match on Friday. A total of 15 wickets fell, including the whole Australian team. 

The first wicket fell on the very first ball of the day of the overnight batsman R Ashwin, who edged the ball to the keeper. Soon, in 23 minutes, the rest of the Indian batting was cleaned up. India finished at 244 runs in the first innings, adding 11 runs to their overnight score of 233/6. 

Australia had a strange day with the bat too. Indian bowlers bowled tight lines and the batsmen defended. Jasprit Bumrah broke the shackles and got Mathew Wade and Joe Burns in consecutive overs. 

In the second session, R Ashwin looked unplayable. He got the big wicket of Steve Smith at the start of his spell. He got Travis Head next and debutant Cameron Green soon followed. Marnus Labuschagne and captain Tim Paine started to play with some attacking intent with luck riding on their back. Labuschagne was dropped three times while Paine got one chance. 

Umesh Yadav caught Labuschagne in front at the start of the third session and removed Pat Cummins in the same over. Tim Paine, with no other choice left, started to counter-attack. 

The last three wickets of Australia added 80 runs. Paine hit his ninth half-century which included ten fours. Australians eventually got bundled out for 191 runs. Ashwin finished with four wickets while Umesh Yadav took three. 

The Indian openers, with the lead of 53, had to survive six overs of the day. Prithvi Shaw once again showed a gap between his bat and pad as Cummins shattered the stumps. Jasprit Bumrah came as the nightwatchman and survived the rest of the overs along with Mayank Agarwal.
