IND vs AUS: India continued their dominating game against Australia as they bowled out the visitors for just 91 runs in the 2nd innings, winning the match by an innings and 132 runs. India registered the win inside the first three days of the Test. Ravichandran Ashwin was the top bowler in the 2nd innings with his 5-fer.
After India's lower middle order frustrated Australia with the bat in the first session on Day 3, the visitors' batter knelt in front of master mind spinner Ravi Ashwin. After India posted 400 in their first innings, courtesy of Rohit Sharma's ton and inspiring fifties by Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, Australia came out with a trail of 223 runs to cover.
However, Ravichandran Ashwin proved unplayable on a 3rd day Nagpur pitch. The 36-year-old equalled Anil Kumble's record of most 5-fers on Indian soil as he grabbed the important wickets of both openers, Usman Khawaja (1) and David Warner (1), along with Matt Renshaw (2), Peter Handscomb (6), & Alex Carey (10). Apart from Ashwin, Jadeja and Shami managed 2 wickets each in the 2nd innings while Axar Patel scalped one wicket.
