However, the bowler struck in his very first over in the 1st T20I against West Indies after getting smacked.
Arshdeep was given the responsibility to bowl the second over of the innings. West Indies, chasing a target of 191, had to get to a good start. Kyle Mayers was on strike for the first delivery, and walked forward and across, launching the length ball over long-on for a six. This was Arshdeep's first delivery in West Indies.
