LSG vs KKR IPL 2022: In the 53rd match of the IPL 2022, Lucknow Super Giants posted a target of 177 runs to win against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the KKR batting yet again proved to be their weakness as they choked and suffered a batting collapse. Andre Russell, however, smacked 45 runs in 19 balls and remained the only batter who put up a fight against Lucknow Super Giants. 

During his 19-ball stay at the crease, the fans & spectators were entertained and KKR hopes were somewhat still alive. During his inning, Andre Russell took on countryman Jason Holder and thrashed him ruthlessly and managed to score 25 runs. This enlightened the hopes of the KKR fans.

This happened in the 9th over of the innings. Andre Russell smacked 3 sixes and a four, totalling 25 runs in the over. However, before Russell could play a match-winning knock, Avesh Khan turned around the match and dismissed Russell. After this, the KKR batting collapse continued and the whole team was bundled on 101 in 14.3 overs. 

While talking about Lucknow's bowling, all the bowlers performed brilliantly. Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets, giving away just 19 runs, while Jason Holder picked up 3 wickets, giving away 31 runs. With this win, Lucknow Super Giants have climbed to the top of the table and have almost confirmed their playoff berth. 

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss & opted to bowl first against LSG in the 53rd match of the IPL 2022. This match was played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
