Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Indian archer Dhiraj Bommadevara on his historic gold medal victory at the Archery World Cup Final in Saltillo, Mexico.

Dhiraj scripted history by becoming the first Indian male recurve archer to win gold at the prestigious World Cup Final, defeating Japan’s Nakanishi Junya in a thrilling shoot-off.

The Governor said Dhiraj's remarkable achievement is a proud moment for India and Andhra Pradesh and wished him to win many more such medals in the future.

“From the archery grounds of Vijayawada to the top of the global podium in Mexico! History has been made! Heartiest congratulations to Dhiraj Bommadevara on becoming the FIRST Indian male archer to win individual Gold at the Archery World Cup Final!” Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu posted on X.
