Women's World Cup: Alana King Gives Perfect Tribute To Shane Warne, WATCH Video

Shane Warne was known as the king of leg-spin. The Australian inspired so many players to take up the art of leg-spin and one such inspired cricketer is Alana King. 

Alana King made her world cup debut today against England and delivered a memorable performance to help Australia beat the defending champions by 12 runs. 

Australia was defending 311 runs and Tammy Beaumont set up a brilliant platform for the run-chase through her 74 runs in 82 balls. However, it was King who gave Australia a much-needed breakthrough. 

King gave a perfect flight to the ball that was pitched just outside the leg stump. Beaumont charged down the track but the ball spun at the perfect time and spun hard as wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy collected way outside the stump line. Beaumont was stumped as the scorecard read Stumped Healy Bowled King.

It was a perfect ball from King to pay tribute to Shane Warne, who passed away yesterday. King touched the black armband she was wearing as a mark of respect for the King of Leg Spin.
