The Ahmedabad pitch for the 3rd test match between India and England has been rated 'average' by the match officials(umpires) and Match referee Javagal Srinath. 

The day/night test match got finished within two days and got a lot of criticism from the English pundits. Only one wicket out of 30 wickets fell for a pacer. 

After this judgment, it is now clear that there will be no sanction or demerit point given to India since it could be only given when the rating is below average or poor. 

The third test match was one of the shortest test matches played. The England team management left it for ICC to decide whether the pitch was indeed not up to the test match level while Virat Kohli blamed the lack of application from the batsmen. 

Apart from the third test, the second test match pitch was also rated 'average' while the first test track was regarded as 'very good'. The final test played at Ahmedabad was a 'good' track according to the match officials. 

India beat England in the four-match test series 3-1. They lost the first Test at Chennai and came back well in the remaining games.
