Ireland's star batter Paul Stirling once again showed why he's considered to be one of the best batters in the T20 format as he smacked yet another T20 century while playing for Birmingham Bears in the ongoing T20 Blast tournament in England.
Stirling smacked 119 runs in 51 balls with the help of nine fours and 10 sixes. He added 170 runs for the third wicket with Sam Hain, who scored 66 off 32 balls. Interestingly, the match was cut down to 16 overs due to rain but Birmingham Bears scored 207/3 courtesy of Stirling's century.
The highlight of Stirling's century was him smacking 34 runs in just one over off James Sales which included five sixes and a four. Sales kept bowling back of lengths and short balls to Stirling, who kept pulling them for six. This went on five consecutive times. On Sales' sixth attempt for another short ball, he changed the line a bit and Stirling had to attempt to slog it over covers but the ball took an edge and went to the boundary in the deep third region.
