Indian bastman Ambati Rayudu completed his 1,000 runs in One-Day International (ODI) cricket in the first match against Zimbabwe on Saturday. Rayudu made his ODI debut 3 years ago on the tour of Zimbabwe, and since then he has played 31 ODIs and had scored 952 runs in 28 innings which includes two centuries and five half-centuries. His average is close to 46 in the 50-over format. 

Rayudu is the fourth fastest Indian to raise his 1,000 runs in ODI cricket. He took only 29 innings to achieve the feat. In this list, Shikhar Dhawan (24 innings), Virat Kohli (24 innings) and Navjot Singh Sidhu (25 innings) are ahead of Rayudu. He equals Dhoni's record who also took 29 innings to score1,000 runs in ODI.
