Day 2 was a bowlers day out in Mumbai where a total of 16 wickets fell. Ajaz Patel became only the third bowler in history to pick 10 wickets in a Test inning. After India got all out on 325, they replied back to bundle out New Zealand for just 62. R Ashwin picked four and Mohammad Siraj got three wickets. India didn't enforce the follow-on and batted again. They finished the day with a score of 69/0 and a lead of 333 runs.
