Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 world cup 2026, the England cricket team will tour Sri Lanka from 22 Janaury to 3 February 2026 for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.

The series will mark England’s first white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in more than seven years, with their previous visit dating back to 2018, when they won the ODI series 3-1 and also triumphed in the lone T20I. The two sides last met in a T20I during England’s title-winning 2022 T20 World Cup campaign, where England secured a four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in their group-stage encounter.

The T20I series will serve as preparation for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The fixtures were confirmed by the Sri Lanka Cricket in Ausgust 2025
