Mumbai, May 10 (IANS) Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler Harshal Patel on Sunday said the team bowled according to their plan and it worked against Mumbai Indians here.

A.B. de Villiers slammed a 59-ball 133 to help RCB reach a impressive 235/1 in 20 overs. In reply, home side Mumbai managed only 196/7, thus losing by 39 runs.

"We had certain plans while bowling. Looking at the way the wicket was behaving we bowled and it finally paid off," Patel said at the post-match press conference here.

The bowler, who took two wickets, said the total could have been chased down with Mumbai having a few match winners in their squad.

"Honestly in T20 any score can be chased down. With some big hitters in Mumbai team, they could have chased the total down. But we aimed to not do the mistake they did against our batting.

We wanted to keep our intensity right throughout the innings. We did it against them and we won," Patel concluded.
