In Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore batters displayed a below-par batting performance and with difficulties, RCB managed to reach a total of 157 in 20 overs. With the way Rajasthan Royals batters started off, it was clear that the match won't go till the 20th over.

The first over of the Rajasthan innings was being bowled by Mohammad Siraj and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was on strike. RCB fans were hoping that Yashasvi would look to play out the first over carefully. However, the explosive batter didn't hold and took on RCB pacer Mohammad Siraj with all his might.

Smacking 2 sixes and a four, Yashasvi Jaiswal collected 16 runs in the first over and gave a thunderous start to his team. Mohammad Siraj tried multiple short deliveries in the over but to no end and was thrashed by the Rajasthan Royals opener. Consequently, the bowler freaked and messed up his length, conceding a four at the hands of Yashasvi.

Due to this quick start, Rajasthan Royals achieved the 100-run mark in mere 9.1 overs. Talking about the match, Jos Buttler, who had been in an impeccable form this season, took no mercy on RCB bowlers and thrashed them at will. Yashasvi was dismissed after scoring 21 runs in 13 deliveries but Sanju Samson & Jos Buttler didn't let the run rate dip, bringing the required run rate under 6.
