At first, the crowds were not allowed but the BCCI opened the gates for the fans in the final minute so they could see the most successful test captain playing the match. Virat was given his 100th test cap from Rahul Dravid and new Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave him the guard of honor before entering the field.

While so much happened for Kohli during the test which India finished in three days, he made sure to give it back to the Indian cricket fans.

One such special fan of the team is Dharmveer Pal. He travels along with the team for most matches throughout India and even on foreign tours sometimes. Dharmveer is also known as the unofficial 12th man of the Indian cricket team.
