July 2 (CRICKETNMORE) - Teenager Wanidu Hasaranga De Silva took hat-trick on his debut as Sri Lanka levelled their one-day international series against Zimbabwe with a seven-wicket victory in second match at Galle.

The 19-year-old leg-spinner took the last three Zimbabwe wickets to fall as the visitors were dismissed for 155 in just 33.4 overs. Wanidu becomes the first Sri Lankan spinner to get a hat-trick and the third bowler to get it on debut in ODIs. Only, Taijul Islam of Bangladesh and Kagiso Rabada of South Africa have taken the hat-trick in their debut ODI.

Overall, Wanidu Hasaranga became the fifth Sri Lanka bowler to claim an ODI hat-trick.
