The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be the eleventh edition of this mega tournament. This will be held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016. Bangladesh is hosting the tournament for the second time. During the 20-day tournament, 48 matches will be played across eight venues in Bangladesh.

Match Format - 50 Overs

Teams - 16 teams will compete for the title. Bangladesh, Namibia, Scotland, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, Fiji, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, India, Nepal, New Zealand

Tournament Format - 16 Teams are divided in 4 groups of 4 teams each:

Group ABangladesh, Namibia, Scotland, South Africa
Group BAfghanistan, Canada, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
Group CEngland, Fiji, West Indies, Zimbabwe
Group D Ireland, India, Nepal, New Zealand

The top two teams from each group then played the knock-out rounds of quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
