KKR vs PBKS IPL 2022: 'Age is just a number' or so we have heard on numerous occasions. However, the game of cricket more often than not produces examples of the 'age-old' quote. 33-year old Tim Southee has presented the latest example of this, as he took a brilliant catch to dismiss 'dangerous-looking' Rabada.

After KKR took PBKS wickets at regular intervals, Kagiso Rabada, playing his first match of the season, came out to bat at #10 in the 15th over itself, when the scoreboard read 102/8. However, the South African started showing wonders with the bat. Rabada smacked 25 runs off 16 balls with 4 fours and a six and helped Punjab Kings add crucial runs in their below-par total.

In the 19th over, however, Rabada tried to take on Andre Russell. The West Indian all-rounder bowled the first delivery of the over a slower one angling across the off stump. KG went for a big shot straight back over Russell. Ajinkya Rahane was running in from long-off to take the catch.

However, Tim Southee also sprinted with all his might from long-on towards his left. The Kiwi pacer dived full length to complete a marvellous catch and sent Rabada back to the pavilion who was looking for a potentially strong finish.

While talking about the match, after Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and asked Punjab Kings to bat first, PBKS were bowled out for a total of 137 in 18. overs. Umesh Yadav picked up 4 wickets for KKR, Tim Southee picked up 2 while Shivam Mavi, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell managed 1 wicket each. This match is being played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
