Sri Lanka vs West Indies: Cricket is a dangerous game. The hard cricket ball when gets struck to a player, it gets serious almost every time and medical attention is needed. In the ongoing test match between Sri Lanka and West Indies, another such incident has happened.

In the 24th over of the first innings, Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne was batting and West Indian debutant Jeremy Solozano was fielding at short leg. On a half-tracker, Karunaratne decided to smack the ball to the mid-wicket.

Even though the shot was sweetly timed by the Sri Lankan captain but it got struck right on the face of Solozano.

He was immediately stretched off the field and taken to the hospital for scans. Solozano was responsive and conscious while being taken to the hospital.
